For downloading I used to use the Firefox plugin IHG but when that was disabled I ended up using BilderHerunterlader (
http://bilderherunterlader.sourcefor...unterlader/bh4). It comes in browser plugin form for various browsers but I'm using the stand-alone installation. It seems to handle almost all the hosts used here up until now but I have not extensively tested it as I'm not downloading very much anymore.
