This is one of my movies: Falling Down starring Michael Douglas, Robert Duvall, Barbara Hershey, Rachel Ticotin, others. Douglas stars as a middle aged man who was recently layed off from his job at a California defense plant. He was also recently divorced from his wife played by Barbara Hershey. The movie opens with him stuck in a traffic jam on a small road under an overpass on a very hot day. He gets so fed up with this he decides to leave his car and go to his former home where is former wife and daughter live in the city of Venice, Ca. From that moment he encounters weird people, and has to practically fight his way through Latino gang infested neighborhoods, homeless people, druggies and others. At the same time Robert Duvall is a police officer on his last day as a Robbery detective, about to retire, and he gets mixed up with some crimes that Michael Douglas committed. It is a complicated film with lots of stuff happening. A very good film.
