This song makes me think about leaving Chicago in summer 1992, and my father losing his business and me losing my best high school girlfriend that year, and never seeing Chicago for another twelve years, and my parents refusing to travel there with me in 1997 and 2004 when I asked them if we could go there together. Life was never the same.
