I'm not sure how to answer that question because I'm not sure what you mean by "compilations" and which version of Swedish Erotica you refer to.

The original Swedish Erotica 8mm loops and the original 1980-1986 SE VHS video series are not compilations. There were two subsequent SE original series; the first called "Swedish Erotica Featurettes" that ran from 1989-1990 spanning five volumes and the other which reverted to the "Swedish Erotica" only banner from 1994-1995 spanning Volumes 74-85. Neither of those are compilations.

The two hour Swedish Erotica Hard series are compilations and the 4 hour Swedish Erotica VHS/DVDs are also compilations. The Swedish Erotica DVDs that feature specific models are also compilations. Most of these compilations contain footage from outside of the Swedish Erotica franchise...from the Caballero/Odyssey Video Group's vault of videos.

Generally speaking, when we refer to Swedish Erotica on VEF it pertains to the original 8mm/VHS video run. Some include the 1989/1990 videos as well because they were still up to the same standards as the first run. I don't know anyone who considers the third run in the mid 90s as being canon to the SE franchise.
