Default why would a 8 minute mp4 video be almost 2GB?

I downloaded a 8.5 minute mp4 video that's 1.93GB.
It's 1920x1080 but for that running time I would not expect more than maybe 500-600 MB file size
The data rate is unusually high, 31944kbps total bitrate 32133kbps.
It plays OK with VideoLan.
Any idea why the the data rate and file size would be so large?
