He was a student of Johann Sebastian Bach who taught him how to play the organ. After he became proficient he was able to find work as the court organist under Prince Friedrich. It was not really an important post , but provided him enough money to feed his family. Krebs mostly composed organ music, and only a small amount of instrumental music. This is a disc of his flute sonatas. My disc is out of print so you will hear music from a re-issued disc.
