Speaking of COD, Paige Young (PMOM Nov 1968) died in July 1974 at age 30. Her death was universally reported to be due to a drug overdose. However, it turns out that she committed suicide by shooting herself in the head—soon after telling a friend she was going to do it. This link might explain why PB spread the overdose story.

I'm puzzled as to why this article is from 2014, but websites chronicling PM deaths still show the cause as drug overdose.
