You probably mixed with the word "hyperactive".

Autism often is a terrible disease.
Real cases of hyperactivity is not fun too, but in "popular" speech, that seems to be nice.
Parents think that means that their child is a genius who has not the control of his talent, because he's full of energy.

But that's used by parents who don't get any idea what really means hyperactivity.

In French language, mothers often incorrectly use this term: "My son is "hyperactive".

In fact, he only needs to get a better education or get physical activities like playing soccer, going to the swimming pool, etc...
