Playboy started using their PMOY choices as public relations tools rather than the prettiest girl of the year. I don't believe for a second that most of them were chosen by the fans.. Donna Edmondson was the virgin playmate, Kathy Shower was the oldest, Dalene Curtis was shaved first, and Dani Mathers was in medical school. I think Karin Taylor is one of the best playmates of all time, but they already had a black PMOY with Renee Tennison. God forbid, they can't have two black girls only 6 years apart.
Most of the discussion centers around personal preference and body type. I liked most of the PMOYs but also really loved some of the girls the group mentioned.
I want to say how much I love this site and how much I have enjoyed these PMs over the years. I even loved most of the 2000s and 2010s, especially when they stuck to basics and just took pictures of healthy good looking girls.
It is sad to see the current state of the bunny magazine. They just never figured out how to adapt to the internet age. I hope somebody figures it out and brings PB back to how it used to be.
