Here's a question for all.

Was talking with a friend this a.m. that I built her machine for her some years ago (the last machine I built). Its a dual core (maybe a four core) with 8 or 16 Gb RAM and a small (don't remember how small) HD for her OS and apps (C:\) and a larger HD for her files (D:\). Basically the same arrangement I've put on any machine I've built over many years.

Anyway, she has (as a web designer) one of the latest Adobe Suites and is starting to get the Win 10 notification. So she called me today and asked if she should go ahead and get it. I told her my experiences with it so she probably won't do it soon but an interesting question came up.

She uses the latest Adobe Suite mainly for Photoshop and a couple of other web development Adobe apps. Initially, I thought it best to download and install on a separate drive (an old SSD I have) and then install all her apps on that. But then I remembered, Adobe are real assholes about the number of copies of the Adobe Suite a person can have. So my feeling is that we would have to uninstall the Suite from her Win 7 disk to reinstall the Suite on her Win 10 disk.

After thinking about that awhile I don't think that is a good idea (especially if she doesn't like Win 10). Probably better to install the SSD with Win 10 and give her the option to keep the Adobe Suite on Win 7 and just play around with Win 10.

Any opinions on what she should do?
