Is directly proportional to the amount you win...
I was playing
Keno like I did every Tue. night in my bowling league and all my numbers hit!!! Not enough to retire, but enough to get me 100% out of debt with a little surplus to get things going again.
Anyway, I redeemed the ticket at the lottery office and was driving home with a nice four-figure check sitting on my passenger seat.
As I approached the intersection of a divided highway, an idiot in the lane to the left of me sped up and tried to cross in front of me (unsuccessfully) to make (I guess) a right hand turn. He caused me to veer a little right and I jumped the median, took out a wooden pole holding up a sign and clipped a guy who (I kid you not) just picked up a new car at his dealership.
My car was totaled and I had to use my keno check to purchase a new one. I had no fault insurance (due to the low value of my paid-off car, and, being in Mich.) which entitled me to only $500.00 claim.
No injuries, fortunately, but debts accumulate a little (big) thing called
interest.
Anyone else got a similar or better experience?
