She is the daughter of the director Wolfgang Liebeneiner and the actress Hilde Krahl. Johanna Liebeneiner got drama-instruction in Vienna and with Else Bongers in Berlin. She/it gave her/its/their debut at the Hamburg chamber-games as Christine in Liebelei. in 1967, she/it got a commitment in Aachen.
1968 to 1973, she/it worked at the Düsseldorfer playhouse where among other things she/it played this Gretchen into Faust I and the Helena in Faust II.
