Back in mid-nineties she - along with many others - was featured in a documentary Some Nudity Required (if I remember the title correct) shot by a female director and blaming B-movie industry in general of being sexist and outright misogynistic. And while most of featured B-movie queens were relaxed and weren't really playing along, Maria was rather vocal and she managed to piss off many directors and producers who basically were giving her job for many years. So after that a lot of doors closed for her and she was slowly spiralling downwards to straight porn. As far as I know she tried to resurrect her career a few times with new names, new looks and even new imdb profiles. She did an extensive face job and was completely unrecognizeable. Like in a very bad way.
