Guess Who?
Theo Coster, designer of Guess Who? was born in Amsterdam in 1928 and developed the concept of the game in 1979. Coster was a schoolmate of Anne Frank and would walk with her to school before their families went into hiding to escape the Gestapo.
Not so much a toy. Derived from 'craie', the French for chalk and 'ola' a then popular shorthand for 'oily',
Crayola crayons first made an appearance in 1903. In 1996 the Crayola factory produced its 100 billionth crayon and today the crayons come in 120 different shades.
