Default Barbara English

Barbara is a sexy companion offered to Larry Blyden's Rocky Valentine in the 1960 Twilight Zone episode "A Nice Place To Visit." She enters doing a sexy dance wearing a skin-tight dress and a slut grin and she also appears later in a casino scene as part of Valentine's harem of beautiful women.

"A Nice Place to Visit" was singled out for its brazen sexual innuendo. CBS censors requested that Valentine not refer to a girl as "a broad ... really stacked," even though the crudity was essential to establishing the unsavory qualities of the character. Nor could the protagonist refer to a party as "a ball", since that word had more than one meaning. In another "Nice Place" sequence, a voluptuous young lady tends to Valentine's every need, then says "is there anything else I can do for you?" CBS's comment: "Please be certain that the girl's third speech be delivered in a sweet manner, as described."

It was amazing stuff for broadcast TV in the '60s. Barbara appeared in some other TV shows like "Peter Gunn" and "Have Gun Will Travel" (Gene Roddenberry was a writer for this show - you can tell which scripts are his) and must have retired from acting as I can't find anything else on her.
