Celebs and Stars
Maybe the Music Halls of the 19th century were the first to create Celebs ?
then it was nt long before Hollywood got going and created stars famous around
the world.
The 1950s brought in TV and suddenly fame and celebrity to almost anyone who appeared on TV.
Through the 50s, 60s and 70s TV grew to become the dominant medium.
The 90s brought the start of the Internet... perhaps it will become a major rival of the TV ?
But whatever happens, TV still keeps producing TV celebs, with their TV Soaps, reality shows,
pop shows......... its almost like a sausage factory !
