I used to go out in the morning and totally disappear with my friends until lunchtime. Then I'd disappear until dinnertime. Ballgames, bike rides, mischief, whatever... as long as my grades were OK they'd let me be.
Today, my parents would probably be arrested by agents of the nanny-state.
