Porn is just business

Respect or disrepect of those who make it or perform in it
doesnt even enter the equation

There are some truly disgusting people in the industry on all levels that have done some unpalatable things but then i could say that about many industries.

You either like the product they offer or you dont.

Any product will have a minority of addicts who dont know when enough is enough
but banning it wont stop their behaviour

Think of the fools who drink so much coca cola their teeth are literally rotting away
Sometimes the state cant protect the indvidual from their own bad habits and shouldnt try.

Where the state should step in is stopping the adult industry from pushing the envelope and hidng behind consent given which they use to push the boundaries of good taste or usually far worse.

We all know anyone who is desperate for money will do what ever and hence consent being given is like saying i'm all yours to torture. Its that kind of consentual abuse thats the worst type of porn because it sends out the wrong messages to impressionable minds plus its abundantly clear many of the models arent into what their doing so comes off as utter bilge.

Given the male brain doesnt fully mature until age 25 thats a lot of time to build up some pretty bad habits gleamed from watching such content.

For those addicted who feel their on a downward spiral getting Medical help is your only avenue for redress

Banning everything outright never leads to a lowering of demand for the product
but drives it under ground at best

We've seen that with alcohol (prohibition),drugs (class A drugs)
prostitution (kerbside crawling)

Addicts dont lose the impulse because its no longer easily accessible
which means black marketeers will always be there to take up the slack

About the only logical argument i've heard is for porn to be banned from use on mobile phones because its reaching kids who are ridiculously young.
