Windows 10 on ARM
Microsoft intends to commercialise a PC running under ARM chips (instead of INTEL).
The drawbacks will be:
- no 64 bits applications;
- some applications will have to be compiled under Windows 10 to be able to run on these machines;
- no complex characters (for exemple it would be difficult in oriental countries);
- the usual pilots will not run (for exemple printer pilots);
- games will not run if they are old;
- those are only a part of the limitations.
In conclusion:
- you have to be very careful before choosing to buy a PC under ARM;
- it is even more problems for developers; personnally I do not intend to buy a PC under ARM;
- Microsoft is trying to f**ck us even more;
- I think INTEL is more honest, but that is another story.
