I think because Germany is more competitive, particularly for electronics. So it's always worth checking prices online

Sometimes price differences can be even more astonishing than that, even among the amazons. Some years ago I was looking for an economics textbook, written by an American, printed and made in America. Amazon.com wanted $130,- for it, amazon.co.uk didn't have it, and amazon.de sold it to me for €35,-

You'd think prices would be comparable if you're buying from the same company, but as you can see, that's not always the case
