I think the new reboot will be the end of it. I can't see many fans liking the BBC throwing out everything they've come to understand about the Doctor and how regeneration works.
I'm sure that the PC brigade and feminists will be delighted but they probably don't watch it anyway. Are they now going to have to find some bloke to go screaming down corridors or are they going for a female companion and a lesbian (sorry, gay) relationship?
