Here in my State (I can't speak for other States in the US) you are the one who would be facing prosecution for the things you described. It is forbidden and against the law for any landlord/building manager to enter a tenant's apartment for any reason (even for repairs) without first giving the tenant prior notice!
Here in the US many of us have an old saying: The laws were written for the criminals!
