There will always be a section of every forum that views any member who chooses to use any host that pays cash as a heretic who should be burned alive.

Yes some have rose coloured glasses on and forget the past

Rapidshare introduced cash rewards.
They had periods where they were only available to those with premium access
be it paid or the free upgrade from uploads


If you think about the 2 main hosts that the members mostly used over the past 5 years
the reason neither are thought of as cash hosts is that wasnt the primary reason why the masses used them.


Rapidshare

- used for free upgrade to premium
- access for MOST free users at premium speeds
- cash paid every 8 weeks started well after the free upgrade rewards

Megaupload

- 1 of 2 hosts that offered simultaneous downloads at premium speeds to free users
that epitomised the sharing for sharing sake

- Their cash & free upgrade reward schemes existed were only ever of interest to the major uploaders i suspect.



Using filefactory as an example



Before Megaupload was taken down FF were your typical small host paying cash but not attracting the destructive spammer crowd because their schemes werent near the best payers.Download speeds were reasonable without getting anywhere near the RS,MU or Mediafire free for all.




After Oron,Filesonic etc removed their reward schemes in January 2012 FF became like a flame to a million moths and its service suffered numerous outages for 6 months until they pulled their reward scheme down.


Its that bad service due to either the powers that be limiting access through waiting time blowouts,locking out free users uploading,slow download speeds or its members uploading so quickly that it makes their business model unworkable that stick in peoples minds when they label a host as cash whore central.


Oron as king of the heap with its weekly payouts had some of the worst blowouts in waiting times I've ever seen...a link a day....a complete movie in a week

Filesonic was inaccessible across the world for a lot of end users which was never resolved
unless you were technically capable of implementing a VPN.(virtual private network)

Depositfiles was at one time banned here because of the spammer crowd abusing it.



As i said in a previous post if your going to use any host sign up as a free registered user and test it for a few months

At worst you'll have an account which allows faster downloads than for a guest



Forget about reputation its worth next to nothing online imho
