Age Verification not coming to a website near you, at least not yet
 

The UK govt has decided, a few weeks before it was supposed to start, that Age Verification is a lot more complicated than they thought it would be, and it will be delayed until at least the end of 2018. This is of course something that those concerned with issues of privacy and freedom expression and those who simply like looking at porn and think there are far worse things effecting the well being of the under 18s, have been saying for a long time. The BBFC, which must change its name back to Censor from its fatuous claim to be simply a classifier, has been charged with policing this dogs dinner and has found itself way out of its depth. AV would have erected a fire wall, although one not difficult for many to circumvent , to make China or Iran happy, and would have restricted access for many to a lot of material not just 'porn', but also matters of sexual health, non-profit blogs who cant afford the cost of having it on their site, etc. And dont forget it would create a hackable within a few weeks list of those applying for verification.

Even if it dies a death and is never implemented we will remain saddled with a whole raft of activities still not legally viewed, produced or sold in the UK, the 13 things not illegal to do in the privacy of your own home, such as face sitting, watersports, fisting, female ejaculation on to another person, large object insertions, consensual BDSM and more. Its not difficult to find much of the list here on VEF of course. I dont think anybody who matters will object to the ban on under-age or bestiality, the rest are surely up to the participants or viewers.

Yeah, maybe in the parallel universe you live in. Me I remember the seventies. No internet, Pong was the last word in video games, The Age Of Aquarius was coming and big hair, safari suits and mullets were the height of cool.
