Years ago, ( I'm thinkin' 1984 or so) an up-and-coming Eurobabe named Kathy Harcourt was found floating in N.Y.C.'s East River with a small piece of lead embedded in her brain. Rumors haddit that she was a bit indebted to some drug dealer or dealers
(being that this was, and still kinda is an occupational sidebar to the bizz...), but those UBBER intelectual Law Enforcement dudesickles ruled her demise a SUICIDE!!!!

flick "LIPS". I believe that this was K. Harcourt's first venture...at least stateside. She carried a bit of a Pat Benetar look, and a killer accent.

I only saw her in a loop I believe after I read the account similar to yours that she had died of suicide or murder. The RAME account tells of the wound to the head and that the weapon was found upstream. The scene I saw was pretty cheesy and Mike Ranger was in it, so I wasn't a fan (afterall, he did have sex twice with my girl, Bridgette Monet, the bastard!) Still, the drug thing is troubling and I agree it seems like a prerequisite to young, attractive, and probably somewhat stupid gals in the golden age and today. No offense to the sophisticated gals in porn who grasped the economic advantage, but I'm sure their grandchildren marvel at grandma's first career choice. Sorry for the sarcasm, but wow, women need to make better choices and it seems so many creepy men pushed them into this sex inflation and ruined more lives than we know. As much as porn intrigues a guy like me, it also has a sharp edge and clear melancholy. No one would want their daughter or sister to work in it, well, except for the late Buck Adams I suppose.
