I want to make image close to UHQ as I can
 

I'm following up on this post I made (it was also suggested I place it in the help section).

I want to make an image as close to UHQ as I can. As stated in the other post, I can't get true UHQ with a editing program.

In the interest of trying, I used GIMP and several tutorials to get as close as possible, but my skills with photo editing software aren't the best. I'm hoping someone could take the original image and make it as close to UHQ as they can.

What is your definition of UHQ?

UHQ:

• Size: 4000x2400 pixels
• I want her as clean/clear/detailed as possible. Her centerfold picture is good example. If you view it as actual size, there is no pixelation, or blurriness (You can see the hair on her back!:D).
• Any other alterations (sharpness, lighting, etc..) I'll leave to your discretion.

Could you tell me what you did? I'd like to try again on my own. You don't have to list steps, but if you increase lighting, or applied a certain settings, just make a note.

Why not post it in Leslie's thread and I can thank you afterward? At least if anyone comes across it, they will know it's you that produced it.

It is technically impossible to enlarge your source picture to this size while maintaining the original quality. The centrefold you link to is so large because it was scanned at a high resolution, possibly a slide scan.
When the source has a low resolution, you can't achieve what you want.

I scan magazines at 300dpi and don't do any editing after that, apart from merging and cropping.

Ah! I see. Okay, so then can you get it to as close to UHQ as you can without reducing the quality? or What is the biggest size you can achieve without reducing the quality?

The highest resolution with moiré reduction on my scanner is 600dpi.

The image you provide looks good as it is. I don't think it can be improved. That's what I have been trying to say all the time.

If you are trying to get a UHQ image from a centerfold and there isn't one already available, you can start at http://tittiesondisplay.com/PBLinks/megazoom.php . From there, you can get all the various parts of the centerfold, which you'll have to assemble yourself. There's typically about four or five hundred little tiles that need to be put together.
