password cracker for .001
 

Does anyone have a password cracker for .001 archives.
I downloaded a movie and as usual forgot to check if it was password protected.
I do not understand why people password their uploads it is just a pain in the arse.

they do it so only the people they intend to benefit from their hard work/generosity do and not random 'download anything they can find simply because it's there' people using google.

Another reason if that sometimes the host will block an uploaded file for various reasons - but it cannot do that if the file is password protected.

Files ending by .001, .002, etc. etc. are files from a split-archive.

In other words, if your file ends by .001, there must at least be another one ending by .002.

Files ending like so need to get combined/merged by software >> HJSplit is the most commonly used.

If you only have the file ending by .001, then it´s a pointless task to unpack as well as passwords would not help in this particular case.

Adding to what G-Type said: you need all split files to extract the file properly. How do you know you have got them all? The last file is smaller than the preceding ones.

Trick is to also put them all in an empty folder, that way HJ finds them easily when sewing them back together. But if you're missing even one part of the original file it won't work.

AS an example... You might end up with ....

debbie.001 - 100Gbs
debbie.002 - 100Gbs
debbie.003 - 65Gbs

final file size when sewn back together will be around 265GBs.

HJsplit or packed with 7zip. Without PW u can Remote it to another Hoster and u can say oh it´s my upload and my work. U would say: to adorn oneself with borrowed plumes.
