As you may have seen in the news, Britain will be holding a referendum on the 23rd June on whether to leave the EU or stay in. So how will you be voting?

Personally, I'll be voting to leave.

My heart says leave as the EU is too monolithic and resistant to change. If the answer is more politicians it's a stupid question.
My head says to wait and see what facts emerge over the next few months.

If as a whole we choose to leave will that prompt the Scots to have another referendum, always providing the figures for Scottish votes support that. I like to think Mrs Krankie has learned her lesson and will think before she leaps into the void again.

Being cautious by nature,I am inclined to plump for the status quo,The proponents of leaving do not inspire Me with much confidence either.

Now if only we could get a referendum on retaining the so called Royals too.
 

I'll be voting to leave if only because we won't get another chance after this one if we don't take it.
That's not to say I don't have other reasons as well.

If politicians were honest, and none of them are since they would never be elected, our 'friends' in Europe do not want us. But they want our money.

I try to recall the founding principles of the EU. I seem to remember it was simply called 'The Common Market' but has become over-blown by bureaucracy. (even that is a French word)

I voted 'Yes' at the last referendum on the EU. This time it is a 'No'.

We will not know the facts. Both sides will adopt 'scare' tactics such as the fear of the unknown.

If you want Britain to survive as anything more than an historical relic like Rutland or Wessex, you must vote to leave. It's as simple as that. It's a fundamental mistake to judge this on a short term balance of advantages. This is fundamental, not politics as usual.

There are pros and cons on both sides - bigger is sometimes better, especially when considering trade issues; but then some form of autonomous decision-making within this nation would also be welcome rather than being dictated too by a feux federated EU Parliament.

Expect the big businesses to cry wolf should we choose to leave. They'll bleat and moan and threaten to uproot their companies out of the UK if they don't get their way.

I also hope that if there is a clear No vote, we won't be subject to further referendums every few years until those in Power finally get what they want.

By the same token I also hope that the No vote won't be trumped by a smallish Yes vote, with the "don't know" vote tacked on.

Personally I don't think it will make much difference if we stay in or opt out, at least not for the ordinary person trying to earn a crust.

And what would happen if we do opt out? How long will it take? Does opting out mean opting out of EVERYTHING to do with the EU, or just certain areas? And if the UK do vote to opt out under this government, what happens should Labour win power? Will they have another referendum pushing us to rejoin?

This is a non party political issue - apart from the LibDems who all firmly believe in the EU both Labour and Conservatives will have MP's who will vote YES and also some who will vote NO.

The original vote was to join a Common Market that has morphed in a sinister fashion into a European super state, a latter day Unholy Roman Empire, I have a nagging doubt that the Eurocrats have even more sinister plans in the pipeline just waiting for the taps to be turned.

I am veering towards a vote to leave as it's hard to think of anything concrete the EU has actually done that can be seen as positive for the UK.

Sadly an out vote will still keep us in Urovision - spelling is as I mean it to be before you ask.
