I am using Google Chrome by the way and the warning seems to come from them.

Yep. Same Here.
I think GlamourForum told members to stop using it a few days ago. |
Same here!
I have the same malware warning problem and use both google chrome and imagevenue. No warning from internet security software. I only became aware of it a hour ago. Found imagebam and imagevenue in VEF rules. Strange I started with imagebam and changed to imagevenue which I found easier and more versatile. When I can access all my posts I am thinking of reinstalling teaser pics/thumbnails and covers using imagebam and using more imagebam into the future.

I use IE9 (with Javascript add-on disabled) with Malwarebytes Pro and MS Security Essentials, both of which offer real-time protection. I see the 'blocked access to ... IP' message from MWB sometimes when opening up JPGs hosted on IV - not on all of them though. I have never seen that message when posting my own JPGs. Other than that message it is causing no problems so I think we need definitive advice from the experts on this site as to whether or not we should still use IV, ImageVenue and ImageBam being the two main image hosts recommended for use here.

Getting an attack page warning on Firefox 27.0.1 - but only for intermittent pics, not all. Be a damn shame if IV falls off the edge, it's user friendly.

Theres most likely a few pics that have had or thought to have had malicious script in them and the reaction is typical overkill
We saw this type of thing when Mcafee blocked everything on imagevenue for 2 such occurences several years ago...eventually it went back to normal The message is number 1 - if you follow the WHY explanation you get pic 2 http://thumbnails112.imagebam.com/31...a311903903.jpg http://thumbnails101.imagebam.com/31...1311903904.jpg The first 5 pics in this post all give of the warning the 6th doesnt http://www.vintage-erotica-forum.com...7&postcount=54 |
I can confirm this.
I'm running Win 7, FF 27.0.1, Adblock plus and AVG Internet Security Suite. This is the first of any such warning or popup about a virus or other recently discussed nasty here, that I've encountered. Quote:

In my view the more we try it, the more risk we run. The thing now is.... will I listen to my own advice?... Probably not.. |

Yeah seems that imagevenue is exploited if its in the prefered list it might be hightime to remove it from it |
