Marilyn Monroe VS Bo Derek.

Each made movies and pics, been in playboy,ect...
I think its a interesting to compare the two, but Marilyn Monroe, and sure its cool to like her, but the beauty belongs to Bo Derek !

This would be down to an age thing, I say Marilyn Monroe hands down as she appeared in more well-known movies, as for Bo Derek I’d to check on IMBD to see what other things she’d been in for I could only remember 10 and Tarzan, the Ape Man, and only because she got her tit’s out in both.

On a scale of wrongness that statement is right up there with the Earth being flat and Ringo Starr being a really good drummer. :D

Monroe died in 1962 (she'd be 86 now ) and is still remembered 50 years later, Bo is still alive but is no more than a "B" lister.

The above statement is just my opinion, and as we know, opinions are like arseholes, everyone has them :D

No contest. Marilyn Monroe really had it, Bo Derek lacked that special spark.

No contest re Monroe v Derek - Monroe every which way.

But why be so hard on Ringo? He was a professional drummer earning his living before chancing his arm with the then unknown Beatles. While he may not have been the best drummer in the world he was the perfect skinsman for the Beatles, despite what Lennon may have joked about him not even being the best drummer in the band. A lot of what he did in the band was about feel and interpretation of the music - and the fact that he was the one Macca, Lennon, Harrison (and Sutcliffe) wanted because he 'fit'. I've heard far more technically able drummers who's music leaves me cold but I can't think of one Beatles track I dislike because of what Ringo did on it. The guy was a far better drummer, and bigger influence than a lot of people give him credit for! And he could still out play most people on this site, which may or may not include you Sam!

Just my opinion obviously...!

Compared to the other 3 guys Ringo has done little of merit since the band split, I consider him the luckiest stiff ever born.

And no, I have no talent whatsoever on the drums........so....:D

Harsh Sam! Most musicians would die happy just to have been part of Sgt. Pepper, let alone being some of the glue that held the Beatles together far beyond the usual limits of 2 super ego's and a third major talent.... :D Luck on it's own can't make you as good a drummer as Ringo, he'd have had to work hard at it to get a look in in the first place. Why would Macca and Lennon take on someone who was coasting if the drums were important enough for them to dump Pete?

Sorry, I know this is http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/sign/sign0006.gif so I'll shut up soon...

And all the lickle Childwen who love Thomas the Tank Engine cwied 'Shame!'

Marilyn Monroe everytime, there's a reason she's still remembered after all this time. Whatever IT was, she had it in bundles and took the world by storm, where as Bo Derek is more classically beautiful, in the modern sense but less sexy for it.

Marilyn...absolute sex appeal
