One memorable sketch was the Psycho-style shower scene when they were attacked by lights and the television. Sue is having a shower and at one point I am sure I caught sight of a very quick boob flash!! :D

Funny you should mention the "Psycho" sketch. Although Sue brought out three big leather folders full of photos and other memorabilia to show me, she said there was other stuff in storage that she hadn't gotten out - including her tight trousers from that very sketch!

I've watched that sketch many times (as you might imagine) but have never seen a boob flash. If you happen to spot it again, please let me know where - and in the meantime, that's what the slow-motion button on my DVD remote is for.

It's always been a mystery to me why Sue didn't have more of a career outside The Benny Hill Show. She was, as Robert Ross put it, "The perfect combination of glamour girl and character actress".

As for Benny's will, Sue wasn't the only one of his associates to be disappointed. He'd promised many members of his performing "family" that he'd remember them when the time came, and he let them all down. Sue wasn't left completely empty-handed, though: she still receives residuals from the sale of the show, and presumably the other surviving members of the cast do, as well.

Just watched a repeat of "Heroes of Comedy: Benny Hill" on TV.

Had to really hold it together in front of my girlfriend when seeing Corinne Russell...

Benny Hill's appearance as big woman-loving fetishist Professor Simon Peach can be seen tonight on Channel 4 as they are re-running the original 'The Italian Job' at 6.20pm on Channel 104(as it is now we've gone digital)

thames TV was saved from bankruptcy by Benny Hill, the reward, being dropped like a piece of used toilet paper because the bosses at ITV and BBC didnt have the balls to stand by their own talented artists. The damage was done, neither the tv companies or the comedians ever recovered and we now have to put up with the dross that passes for comedy. If the critics of Benny's work ever bothered to actually look at the context of the sketches particularly the ones involving scantily clad women they would soon realise that the ridicule was of the male character, the leering and pervy man always came off worse. Funny how people dont see the genuis until it is too late. Look at the greats from the 60's & 70's, Morecambe & Wise, Frankie Howerd, Benny Hill, Norman Wisdon, Max Wall, Dick Emery, Spike Milligan, etc. Where are the comparable comedians now, Lee Evans and Mike McIntyre are the only two that spring to mind. The nearest to Benny would be Leigh Francis with his Keith Lemon character

I don't believe that Keith Lemon(Leigh Francis) is anything like Benny Hill. At least Benny appeared as himself instead of hiding behind creations like Avid Merrion & Michael Jackson(Leigh). You cannot compare him to Benny, because he was a genius, but remember he started off on the BBC and the only reason he left was more money from Thames. Morecambe & Wise also moved but it was a mistake for them, because they were woefully used by ITV. Dick Emery, I don't recall moving to the BBC, let alone Spike Milligan the others you mentioned weren't tied to anyone as they were mostly comic actors but he was also a manic depressive. Max Wall was very funny, and later became an actor. Sir Norman Wisdom, mostly films and stage acts but I never found any of his films funny. Lee Evans is brilliant and more like Norman Wisdom. Benny's problem was he never saw the change coming in public perception of his comedy, not so much scantily-clad girls but they way women were used in his shows-feminists branded him sexist, but it was the tabloids that put pressure on Thames TV to either get him to change or sack him-sadly they took the wrong choice which ultimately led to his demise.

Frankie Howerd was again freelance but had his best times with the BBC and in a way was leading to his own downfall with his secret past of homosexuality and drinking. He made a triumphant comeback with a new generation of students but in the end he couldn't cope with fame again.
Sascha Baron-Cohen is another comedic actor who hides behind his personas but I think now is realising he can't do that all the time. He gave his first ever interview as himself in Cannes last month to the BBC.

I asked on here once if anyone knew the fast played jazz music that was played in the background to Benny Hill's programmes and no one was forthcoming, then whilst checking the excellent Benny Hill website http://runstop.de site I finally found out what was used. The pieces are by jazz musician Keith Nichols and called 'South Side Shuffle' & 'Chicago Stomp' which you can find here http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=AKVonMlC6q8 and you will instantly recognise it if you are a fan of Benny Hill but remember both were 'sped' up for comic effect although I must admit I used to find it irritating at times. If anyone wants the other tune let me know via PM and I will upload an MP3 of it to download.

Last month, Sue took a holiday on the Greek island of Kos. She sent me a letter and a few holiday snaps. Still a stunner, after all these years... :)

Thought I'd share this with you.

Now, everybody knows that the best bits of Benny Hill were when the girls were on display. We'd sit in our formative years waiting for the boring monologues and slapstick to end and the girls to come on again - even if it's just a fleeting walk-by or brief panty-flashing aside.

So I thought 'wouldn't it be great to watch the entire Benny Hill show with JUST the moments that contained girls'…. So that's what I've made.

Below are links to series 4, 5 and 6 that are EVERY show in order back to back reduced down to shots that ONLY feature the sexy girls. Yes, I've edited out any moments without girls in them to reduce entire series down to single individual 40minute shows.

That's the early 80s series that was quite saucy, the mid/late eighties series that was very saucy, and the last series - 1989? - that was toned down and frankly very tame.

A few notes:
1) Yes, this is just series 4, 5 and 6. They are taken from 'The Complete & Unadulterated' DVD collections (see here http://www.amazon.com/Benny-Hill-Com.../dp/B000T28PGA) Being the last three discs of the pack. Sorry I've not got 1, 2 and 3 and the girls in the 70s don't do it for me and so aren't of interest (sorry, 70s fans!)
2) This took me AGES and it was only when I was finished and watching it back with the sound up that I realised that the torrent I'd lifted was dubbed in Russian… No, I'm not joking. So the whole thing is in Russian!… Fortunately there's very little talking...
3) This is back to back girl appearances. Every time one enters the frame it's here, when they leave the frame, I make an edit. The result is slightly weird but it means that there's a sexy girl on screen ALL THE TIME. Now, the definition of 'sexy' varies from man to man but I've been very generous here including all the songs, dances, skirt-rips-off etc, even some plain, fully clothed 'acting' but there will inevitably be some moments featuring fully clothed, not particularly interesting ladies that are missing.
4) Run times are about 40 minutes apiece and I've made 250Mb files that are good quality and easily downloadable.
5) I think my Rapidshare account might expire/give out any minute so do get them while they're hot.

That's it. All a bit odd, I know, but I hope you enjoy.
