On Thursday, I had the honor and pleasure of being out and about with Sue in London! :D

We met for coffee at a small cafe near Oxford Street, spent a couple of hours at the Cinema Museum in the Elephant and Castle area, then returned to the center for a bite to eat, before saying "au revoir" to each other at the Oxford Street tube station. Sue's absolutely wonderful company, and the time I spend in her presence seems to flash by. I hope and trust she feels the same way about me.

When Sue phoned me to confirm our meeting, she said she had a sore toe, and asked if I'd mind her hanging onto my arm as we walked about. I replied that she could hang on to any part of my body, anytime she wanted to! ;)

And on Saturday (my birthday - hence the trip to London, as a birthday present to myself) Sue phoned me again and sang "Happy Birthday" to me, in a breathy, Marilyn Monroe impersonation! :)

I had a phone chat with Sue this morning, and she informed me that last night, she became a grandmother! :D :thumbsup:

Both her daughter and the new arrival (a boy) are well and healthy.

I can't help but feel a bit old now, knowing that my favorite Hill's Angel is now "Granny Sue". But on the other hand, that's life. And if Sue doesn't mind (which she doesn't - in fact she's over the moon!), then why should I?

Madeline Smith did that fab series of sketches with the two Ronnies
( maybe the best they ever did )

Pity she did nt do a few sketches with Benny too !
