Truthfully, I have been doing research for a side project of mine. It involves selected photos of various classic female pornstars sorted by years active. Since the forum cannot sort by year, I figured that I would need to build my own small database by cross-referencing through iafd. Its probably gonna take about a month or two of my spare time to do this. However, once I am done, there should be a nicely sorted table based on the vef a-z list. I was wondering if you could use it to append the a-z list for any future researchers out there once I am done creating it?

The A-Z list is exactly what it says on the tin. An alphabetical list. However, there is no reason why in the future there couldn't be another list, sorted by the year they started their career for example. And it would have to be accurate. Using IAFD alone isn't gosbel and some vintage pornstars aren't even on it probably becuase either they're too obscure or they only did HC photo shoots, but no movies.

Also do bear in mind we are currently updating the A-Z progressively. At the moment the list isn't inculsive.

I am also finding a few stars on iafd that may be worthwhile additions to the classic pornstars list. For instance, Angella Faith was active from 1991 to 2006, has over 200 credits on iafd, and there isn't a dedicated thread to her as far as I can tell anywhere. I checked the banned list, and didn't see her (though I may have missed it). Considering there are over 1400 female stars in the classic list, I can fully understand if someone got passed over by accident. Also, photos may not be the most available on the web. I leave this as an exercise for others who prefer researching photos and films, rather than studying databases;)

I was thinking of not having the A-Z list resorted, its great to have them alphabetized! Just a little side note next to the links like this:

Abbey Gale Active: 1994-2000
Abigail Clayton Active: 1976-1986
etc.

And, since this is a continuing work, if some data is missing or somewhat inaccurate, we can fix it as we find it.

To avoid any possible confusion I want to formally inform moderators of this section about this topic I opened earlier:

As you can see from first post there - this is model for which I posted ID request, still unsolved, so name Genevieve is not proven based on some database but it's name from magazine and picture sets at CCC (in practice that was enough for starting similar model-threads). Because of this reason topic is open for that model, but under only one aka as temporarily name, as written in first post there and marked in first title Genevieve (at CeeCee), soon changed by moderators to 'Genevieve' (CeeCee model), with quote-marks.

Regardless that - ID request was not useless. It's started with just one picture and without any name but now we have three full magazine sets and one picture set, and they all have very same model-name in all sets, Genevieve. Unfortunately we lack a name at some database so because of that can't call it solved.

Based on this we can be 100% sure that Genevieve is one of akas of this model, if not the only name, so I suggest to keep this topic and update title when/if we find another nickname for her.


Basically, I know that was not the best way to do it, but I believe there's smaller damage to have this exception and model-thread with bigger number of complete sets and possibly incomplete akas/model-nicknames for some time (if someone in ID request post better meanwhile) in order to prevent loss of collected material, than topic with correct name (again if someone in ID request post one) but with only parts of sets, due to reducing posts and messing links for mystery box, or, even worse, without both (names and sets) if girl don't qualify for the box.

In the least - this way we don't loose anything. As far as I see the only additional work may be adding of potential new names in title.

I hope I have not made trouble to anyone with this, and sorry about too long post.
