Mediaplayer / Archiver

Hi Gemini37,

Will ad my favorite basic freeware Mediaplayer that plays (almost) all mediafiles without the need to install codecs:

GOM Player (4.51MB)

http://img37.imagevenue.com/loc771/t..._123_771lo.jpg http://img230.imagevenue.com/loc483/..._123_483lo.jpg http://img219.imagevenue.com/loc93/t...3_123_93lo.jpg

Freeware
System Requirements:
Microsoft Windows 98SE, Me, 2000, XP, 2003 or Vista
You can download it here:
http://www.gomplayer.com/main.html

Give it a try when you have problems watching movies because you don't have the correct codecs installed.
You can drag and drop a movie on the screen of GOM Player to make it play.

*Small added note on GOM Player: also plays partional/damaged downloads as long as the beginning of the media file is complete, i myself use it to preview P2P downloads, you can use the VLC plugin but i use GOM Player for it.

For info with screens on how to unpack .rar files with:

7-Zip (840 KB)
Freeware
System Requirements
Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP/Vista. (There is a port of the command line version to Linux/Unix)
You can download it here:
http://www.7-zip.org/
(you'll need the normal 32-bit version for a non x64 windows computer)

have a look at this thread:

http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/t15...hare-work.html
use this link when the other fails:

(ps. µTorrent is currently at version 1.7.5 my avatar is a part from my customised µTorrent toolbar ;))

Hi guys cool thread.

Gemini37 Imagegrabber v1.3.5 (freeware)

This imagegrabber sounds good.
Tell me! if you click on an image & up pops one of those small galleries with 10 to 15 thumb nail images of the model you want to down load.

Does imagegrabber just grab the thumbnails or does it grab the larger image the thums lead to or even both?

Plus what if behide one of these wee thums is an .exe & some shits stuck in a virus, does it warn you.

Plus utorrent, are you not hiding your ip before using this with the likes of PeerGuardian 2 http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/

Or are you usig something else

Here's another one - NetMeter:

http://lifehacker.com/software/bandw...ows-244938.php

Great, simple program that measures how much data you're downloading/uploading and keeps a daily/monthy etc record. Useful if your ISP limits your bandwidth. Works very well - have been using it for months without problem.

Preview maker

This one was still missing:

Image Grabber II:

Nice free tool to make screenshots from video files and save them as customisable multiple thumbnail previews with file info and timestamps. You also can automate the grabbing of the screens by pressing the little 'Monitor' icon and fill out the number of screens you want.

Example: (plus a screen of the automated grabbing option)

http://img126.imagevenue.com/loc911/..._123_911lo.jpg http://img148.imagevenue.com/loc626/..._123_626lo.jpg

100% clean Freeware
Size: 1MB
Runs on Windows: 98/2000/Me/XP

Site of the author: (oft down because of exceeded daily bandwidth limit)
http://www45.brinkster.com/antworkz/

English mirror downloadsite:
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/ImageGrabber

German mirror downloadsite:
http://www.chip.de/downloads/Image-G..._17361088.html

Basic how to use: (the small ImageVenue preview hanging on to the right is sharper)
Don't make the previews to width/broad otherwise people would have to scroll from left to right to see it complete, about 980 pixels max will make it fit on a 17 inch resolution (1024x768 pixels). Note make your preview 800 pixels max width when you are going to post it as a fullsize preview (so not as clickable thumbnail) in your post.

When done you can add the preview to your post by using a imagehost like ImageVenue look at this post how you can post using ImageVenue.

Note that 'ImageGrabber II' can grab from more uncommon file formats and/or files with more uncommon file extexions like .divx with no problems, only thing is that it does not recognise and list it in the files it can open ... when you however, while opening a file, select it to show "All Files" instead of "All Movies" they will get listed and can be opened to makes caps of that format.

Thumbnail image downloader

Bulk Image Downloader (BID) (updated on a regular basis)
Quote:

UPDATE: (04-10-2008) just found out that in the recent versions they build in a timer, the program is still useable as unregistered user but every time you now open the program you have to wait a few seconds before you can continue and use it also every time the wait gets a few seconds longer :(

UPDATE: (04-12-2009) lately Bulk Image Downloader 1.27 was no longer working for me on imagebam so i tried a newer version and that one did work again and also no longer has the timer integrated as it looks, so i advice everybody to leave the older 1.27 for what it is and to download the current version of BID. The new version looks slightly diferent then on the images in this post but functionality is the same.

UPDATE: (04-24-2009) timer is still integrated in the newer version it only became active somewhat later :(

UPDATE: (20-08-2009) just found that latest versions expire after a 30 day trail period, so i added the older Bulk Image Downloader 2.05 version that has a timer but it will not expire, maximum waiting time will become 60 seconds before you can use the program. It supports imagebam.
I added for who is interested a download link for the older Bulk Image Downloader 1.27 without the timer, i switched back to it from the later version myself, it works just as good but then without the ever increasing waiting periods. (When you use this version then don't update the program when it says there is a newer version available)

http://img241.imagevenue.com/loc135/..._123_135lo.jpg http://img185.imagevenue.com/loc449/..._123_449lo.jpg http://img218.imagevenue.com/loc166/..._123_166lo.jpg

Bulk Image Downloader is designed to automatically download and save images from thumbnailed image galleries, bypassing all annoying popups and adverts. Almost all popular image hosting sites (such as imagefap, imagevenue, flickr and shareavenue) are supported.
Integrates in: Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera enabling you to download entire thumbnailed image sets with a click of the right mouse-button and then clicking "Open current page with Bulk Image Downloader" ... I use it with Opera. All you need to do is set the download directory and from then on right click on the pages where you want to download the images from :

http://img154.imagevenue.com/loc1000...122_1000lo.jpg http://img192.imagevenue.com/loc368/..._123_368lo.jpg

There is also a 'Bulk Image Downloader Firefox Extension' scroll down on the download page to find it, note that it needs the program installed to work.

Requirements:
Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP/2003 Server/Vista

Shareware (does expire after 30 day trail period)
Limitations in unregistered version:
Max 200 images per batch (60 for imagefap), max 2 instances, max 2 simultaneous downloads, max 2 queued downloads (Queue Manager), but that will do for normal use. Very few posts are 200+ images.

Download:
http://antibody-software.com/web/index.php

Bulk Image Downloader 1.27 (without timer but does not work on imagebam)
http://rapidshare.com/files/10627087...1_27_setup.zip

Bulk Image Downloader 2.05: (with timer but does not expire and supports imagebam)
http://rapidshare.com/files/26797510...2_05_setup.rar

Small but usefull tips:

As unregistered version it is limited to 200 images max per download, when there are many (200+) images in a thread or you only want to save images from a specific reply then open a post as single post by clicking on the post number of the reply, this will open the post in a new window allowing you to only grab the images from that reply. Right click on the page and 'Open current page with Bulk Image Downloader' to download the images.

http://img132.imagevenue.com/loc1051...123_1051lo.jpg

On some pages it looks if Bulk Image Downloader (BID) doesn't work although the page contains imagevenue alike thumbnails, what you then need/can do is save the page with the thumbnailed images as .html (without images) to your computer. Then open Bulk Image Downloader and choose the option 'Load From File' (see image) and browse to and open the just saved .html file. That will do the trick in most cases ...

A truly great tool for downloading thumbnailed pics from imagehosts like Imagevenue etc.

-Getpictureslist: http://gpl.tracking-celebs.info/
Also for downloading thumbnailed pics from imagehost, but with a different feature set. Works in other browsers too.

You could give Blaze Media Pro a try, granted it is not freeware but you get to use a fully functioning program during your trial period. I have been using this ultra cool prog for about 3 years now and I know once you try it you will wanna buy it. One of it's many audio/video editing featues is called decompile video which can break down a video into a jpeg screenshot of either every frame or you can select a start and stop point. You can also convert many audio/video formats and edit mp3s & videos.

it has more settings than "Image Grabber" and you don´t even need to install it
the only disadvantage is that it has no integrated pic joiner

I noticed no one has mentiond AVG anti virus http://free.grisoft.com/
At 12.45p mine kicks in and updates it's self.
Plus I've never had any problems and any nasties trying to get in get caught & what It can't heel it sends to the vault,
so when I close down the site i'm in. I goto the vault and get rid of it from there.

A programmer friend recomened it.

Another also free and recomende is (http://www.pctools.com/en/ Spyware Doctor is a top-rated malware & spyware removal utility that detects,
removes and protects your PC from thousands of potential spyware, adware, trojans, keyloggers, spybots and tracking threats. Now with AntiVirus!)

I use this after going into all those huge galliery site, Where you always get all sorts of crap.
So a quick INTELLI SCAN gets rid of most crap plus it's set to do a full scan every couple of days.
So both programs together work well for this XP user.

Be safe

http://img174.imagevenue.com/loc562/..._123_562lo.jpg
* At its lowest level, Scorched 3D is just an artillery game with two+ tanks taking turns to destroy opponents in an arena. Choose the angle, direction and power of each shot, launch your weapon, and try to blow up other tanks.
But Scorched 3D can be a lot more complex than that, if you want it to be. You can earn money from successful battles and use it to invest in additional weapons and accessories. You can play with up to twenty four other players at a time, mixing computer players with humans. There's a variety of changing environmental conditions and terrains to be dealt with. The game is based on Microprose's famous Sid Meier's Civilization.

Maybe this thread should be named 'useful software' to involve all genres of recommendable free bits and bytes. ;)

Rename 1.1.4.4 [14.10.2009: current version is Rename 1.2.0.2 (419.04kB)]

Very basic and good, no install just unzip to a folder and double click on the .exe to run, when you first run it a small window will pop-up asking you to donate, click on 'I've already donated ...' to disable it (see screen 1).

Choose Files (or drag and drop) ... > Check and set a option > Rename Files ... (> Undo when you want or need)

Rename will let you rename all your files and folders, but with a lot more options. Can batch rename files, add or remove strings to filenames, change file extensions, numerate filenames sequentially, convert to uppercase or lowercase, trim characters, and replace strings. Works with multiple directories, supports Drag and Drop and works from the command line. Also has undo function for last rename done.
Freeware
Requirements: Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP
Limitations: No limitations
Install: just unzip to a folder and double click on the .exe to run. (uninstall: remove the folder)

Download Rename 1.1.4.4: (i highly prefer this (older) version, it has much better layout)

Multi OS Video editor

Avidemux 2.4 Final

It has two different looks (in the Windows non install .zip version i use) so two previews: (GTK (left) and QT4 (right))

http://img191.imagevenue.com/loc56/t...1_123_56lo.jpg http://img161.imagevenue.com/loc1116...123_1116lo.jpg

Simular to VirtualDub but works on more platforms. Like VirtualDub it is also not easy, needs some getting used to.
Freeware
Operating Systems: 32-bit MS Windows (95/98/NT/2000/XP), Mac OS, Linux and Ubuntu
Comes with build in video and audio encoding codecs like: XviD, x264, mpeg2enc, MPEG-2, LAME, AC3, etc. and several filters.
To convert VOB files you will first have to copy them to your HD.

Quote:

Avidemux is a free video editor. It is not really designed for beginner so if you have no experience with video editors this is probably not he right application to choose.

Avidemux is available for Linux, BSD, Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows and is designed for simple cutting, filtering and encoding tasks. It supports many file types, including AVI, DVD compatible MPEG files and MP4.

When you run Windows you can try the 2.4.1 ZIP (non install) version you can unzip it to a folder and run both the GTK and the QT4 version by clicking on avidemux2_gtk.exe or avidemux2_qt4.exe. This one is nice: IIIUploader - v.1.7.7 (was already linked by Gemini37 but with less info)

http://img161.imagevenue.com/loc1156...123_1156lo.jpg

Freeware
Windows XP (32bit (x86)) (don't know if it will also run on other Windows versions)
No install just unrar and double click exe to run.
You will need to have Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 installed.
When needed you can find and download it via Windows update website from the Custom updates > Optional section:
http://www.update.microsoft.com
or on this page:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/r...DisplayLang=en
Download IIIUploader - v.1.7.7 (229kB):
http://www.hqcity.ru/soft/IIIU.rar

Uploads to: (will enable to upload large sets in one go (use .jpg))
- imagevenue.com
- shareavenue.com
- radikal.ru
- largeimagehost.com
- allyoucanupload.com
- pixhosting.info
- **********.us
- imagepile.net
- freeimagehost.eu
- imagehigh.com
- supload.com
- pictiger.com
- *******.com
- pixup.info
- hqcity.com
- hqcity.net
- heyimage.com
- xs.to

You can drag and drop imagefiles or complete folders on the program window to add and queque the images to upload, when a folder is dropped it will automaticly give the set the name of the folder.

Note: use .jpg files, make sure to uncheck 'Save for work ...' when uploading nude content to ImageVenue (or set that to default in 'Settings') also note it will sort all uploaded images in a set by filename when you upload more the one set of images then create a new set with a different name when adding them otherwise they will get mixed up.
It will add this Uploaded with IIIUploader link to every uploaded set but you can take that out, best to do that IMHO cause it will only give the download of the rar archive without any info.

Useful Firefox extensions

Adblock Plus:
Right-click on a banner and choose "Adblock" from the context menu - the banner won't be downloaded again. Maybe even replace parts of the banner address with star symbols to block similar banners as well. Or you select a filter subscription when Adblock Plus starts up the first time, then even this simple task will usually be unnecessary: the filter subscription will block most advertisements fully automatically.

Remove It Permanently - useful addon to AdBlock. Permanently hide content from web pages using the Context Menu. Simply, click and "Remove it Permanently". Now includes previewing of items before removal, support for IFrame as well as lots of advanced features to make it easy for anyone to remove annoying content from web pages.

NoScript provides extra protection for Firefox, Flock, Seamonkey and others mozilla-based browsers: this free, open source add-on allows JavaScript, Java, Flash and other plugins to be executed only by trusted web sites of your choice (e.g. your online bank), and provides the most powerful Anti-XSS protection available in a browser.

Mouse Gestures are a fast way to execute commands without using the keyboard, menus or toolbars. Instead, the user holds down a mouse button (usually the right one), moves the mouse in a certain way to form a gesture, then releases the mouse button.

Nuke Anything Enhanced allow hiding of almost anything via context menu 'Remove Object' or 'Remove Selection' with possibility of multiple undo of 'Remove Object'. You can also make a selection and chose "Remove everything else" to clear the page and only leave the selected text.

Reload Every reloads web pages every so many seconds or minutes. The function is accessible via the context menu (menu you get when you right click on a web page) or via a drop down menu on the reload button.

One more should be mentioned - DownloadHelper.
Its by far not as powerful as Bulk Image Downloader and I tought of unistaling it, but I realized its still quite useful. Its a small FireFox extension and is handy for quick download of galleries of anything _directly_ linked from page you are visiting. Thats good when you come across several mpg files forming one big movie, for example.
Consider using it. Its free, no limits or anything.
