Danelle Marie Folta
 

Danelle Marie Folta (born April 19, 1969) is an American model and actress. She was selected as Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for April 1995, and her centerfold was photographed by Arny Freytag. Folta has appeared in several Playboy videos and special editions, working steadily for Playboy as a model for more than five years following her centerfold appearance.

Folta continued an affiliation with Playboy by founding a team of Playmates who ventured into the world of extreme adventure racing. Folta was captain of the four-member team, Team Playboy X-treme, that completed the 2000 Eco-Challenge in Borneo, together with Playmates Jennifer Lavoie and Kalin Olson and United States Marine Corps Captain Owen West.

Folta further pursued her adventurous nature by embarking on a career as a stunt woman, working on such features as "Snow Dogs"[1] and "All About the Benjamins[2]. Her career, however, suffered a temporary setback when she contracted Fasciitis Necroticans during the 2002 Eco-Challenge in Fiji. Due to her affliction, Folta was forced to withdraw from the competition, and thus the Playboy Xtreme Team -- also consisting of Playmates Kalin Olson and Carrie Yazel and Alaska Pacific University Professor Roman Dial, Ph.D. (Environmental Sciences) -- was not able to complete its second Eco-Challenge.

20th Century Fox has optioned Folta's life rights for a full length feature film detailing her quest to build the Playboy X-treme Team.

As of February '07, Folta resides in Los Angeles, California with her second husband, Jason Miller. She makes personal appearances at Glamourcon and other fan appreciation events.
