[MB Followup provisional] Wrayanne Reynolds - Gwen from Tiger mag., aka Wrayanne Reynolds?mod edit: this thread is the follow-up to this mystery girl: http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/showpost.php?p=1229750 This model appeared in Tiger magazine v.46 (509), 1976-Winter as Gwen: Quote:

For now I have just linked this post to the Box post. We cannot accept a name given by a member without some kind of proof to back it up. fictioneer may well be correct but without the proof it's just a random name.

I agree that fictioneer's name alone is insufficient. Just as an absolute fluke, however, I see that the name "Wrayanne" appears in the toc for Squire 03-05, 1975-10, p.12 here. Not the commonest of first names.
Does anyone know what other mag. titles were in the Challenge group? At present--from other posts by fictioneer--I know only of Squire, Candid, and Casanova. edit: Wrayanne's also on the cover--see here--and listed in the toc for Climax [Original?], 21-05, 1975-05, p.36 here. https://s5d2.turboimg.net/t/35040611...-_Wrayanne.jpg |

Yes, this is Wrayanne Reynolds. TOC on Challenge titles typically list feature title at left and models' first names at right. The photo sets sometimes give full names; she is identified as Wrayanne Reynolds in several Challenge mags Challenge ultimately published 10 adult titles: Challenge mags were originally (1960s) published under the Sari imprint (at least I assume as much, as Sari shared offices and staff with Challenge), including Candid, Climax, and Night and Day. (Not sure if this is the same Night and Day originally from a different publisher, or was a unique title after the previous N&D folded.) There were at least two other imprints used by Challenge including Press Arts - can't think of the other one off the top of my head. Best for Men, Cavalcade, Men's Digest, and Rascal (5/75) were previously from other publishers and I believe acquired by Challenge. Rascal has a publishing gap of approx 12 months, so this might have been a new launch by Challenge. The other titles may have had similar gaps. Casanova (1974), Men's Challenge (1973), and Squire (1973) were launched by Challenge. Game - forgot about Game, make this an 11th title - was originally a UK title and was acquired by Challenge in 1974, retaining it's Eurolook until a different publisher took it over in 1980. A few titles were published every other month; the others were published monthly. The last adult issues are dated Oct and Nov 1980; all 1980 issues are scarce, I believe Challenge had distribution issues, as their titles were not available in my area at any time in 1980. |
