buttsie August 28th, 2016 10:33 AM

Alas there arent many of us Mac users about

I'm on windows 7

Might be quicker to simply head towards your favourite Mac forum thats using your OSX system and ask for help or other suggestions

I know when I started using download managers I went through about 4 that other swore by
before i got one that was so easy it didnt require any thinking to use.

slimOl55 August 28th, 2016 11:04 AM

If you use firefox - latest revision48.0 - then download managers that work are hard to find on OSX. I use jdownloader by viewing the page HTML in view page source, you can select via command-c the files and the manager does the rest. You can search this page: http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/f10-help-section.html and find other support.

Hello Pleniuno.
I use PC, Firefox. I have the following extensions:

  • DownThemAll (You can select on the page by clicking on the relevant picture which pic to download)
  • ImageHost Grabber (This one download all the Big pics, and you can also select which pictures to download, either all on that page or THREAD, or select which ones.)
  • Save Image In folder
I used Linux and Mac Firefox a while back, and DownThemAll worked on the Linux and Firefox. I dont know if the others work as I didnt try them.

I suggest you give these a try, they have documentation at the relevant Firefox extension download pages.

Midnight Air October 28th, 2016 10:35 AM

Hello Pleniuno

If you want a free download manager, a stand alone program that can download movies and pics etc, and dont want to pay for eg Internet Dowload Manager, a free open source one I use is JDownloader. This one may be technical to use, maybe not, but i find it very good. No adverts.

slimOl55 October 28th, 2016 05:07 PM

If you are on Mac and use firefox 43.0.3 with imagehostgrabber then all works OK - if you want standalone app, use jdownloader.

Plenilunio October 30th, 2016 01:03 AM

Hi. I managed to install the plugin in Firefox you say, and I have not managed to download a single decent picture, all are miniatures. If you could do me a favor to tell me how come I agraderé you in the soul. Thank you.

Midnight Air November 1st, 2016 08:33 PM

The DownThemAll has documentation on their website on how to use the download manager.. Maybe if i have time i could explain, but im sure the website will help you. Perhaps some other people could help pleniuno from this forum in explaining how to use downthemall addon for firefox.

buttsie November 2nd, 2016 01:29 AM

Others who use down them all have always referred to a 2nd plugin that is required
otherwise you end up with just thumbs

DownThemAll! AntiContainer

AntiContainer is an extension and framework to DownThemAll! which allows the user to download resources that are normally hidden behind container pages.

For instance almost all so called "one-click" image hosters, such as imagevenue, use such container pages.AntiContainer enables DownThemAll! to download the actual images there instead of just the page.

AntiContainer uses small "plugins" that will handle the specific container pages. A set of plugins is provided with the installation, but it is fairly easy to write new plugins, too.

Yes, I forgot. In order to download pictures full size from such places as imagevenue etc, you would also need DownThem All Anti Container in addition to Downthemall. Thanks for reminding me Buttsie.

Hi. Thank you very much to you both for your help. I installed everything you say, and I'm stupid or or can not explain. I have no idea how to do to lose any of the galleries is in such someimage.com. I see all the little pictures if pulse Gallery and if I give you right click to download them with the plugin does not drop me say more than thumbnails. What I want are the big images and all at once rather than one at a time because seía horrible. I'm watching me mess tutorials and more. Thank you

slimOl55 November 2nd, 2016 01:49 PM

I can only tell you what to see on a mac. You will need firefox 43.0.3 with IHG installed. Also you need an application to view your images full scale (preview will help).
Once you have opened the web page of images you need to go to Tools, and dropdown will show Imagehost Grabber - you choose all or selected images, and where to store them. After that you need to find that folder and view your images full scale!

Tanks. Can you show me any screen capture by private message please. I have firefox in mac. Who is IHG?. Thanks.

Si descargo esta galeria así como se ve, sólo baja las mimiaturas, no se como y donde pegar para descargar todas las imagenes de esta galeria a su tamaño natural, y con cual de los plugins que me habéis dicho es el adecuado.

Down them all does NOT download from someimage.com's galleries. I use IHG (Image Host Grabber) for that which will 95% percent of the time download from someimage.com.

I willmake a post now how to use IHG (Image Host Grabber) with screencaps.

Hi I discovered the problem. My version of Firefox is not compatible with the version of the plugin. I installed a lower version,, nor I instaldo a lower and version either. Which version of Firefox you use ?, and plugin ?. The downside is that the plugin is discontinued and there will be time later. Is there any alternative to pluging ?. Thanks again

I use ImageHost Grabber version 1.7.0.4. The versions before this one did not always have success from downloading from someimage.com.
My firefox is 47.0.1

Try the following to update your hostfile server that the plugin uses. Make sure to have the latest version of the plugin installed. (from http://hot-honeys.com/index.php?topic=3210.0)

1. Right click on website background
2. Select imagehost grabber menu, then click on HOST FILE EDITOR
3. In the host file editor window, click UPDATE FROM ONLINE HOST FILE, then click OK. Dont click Cancel.

It should work.

Hey folks,
As the last post here is over a year old I think some info here maybe a bit out of date.

I'm trying to find a good free image grabber for Firefox quantum 58.0.2 is proving tricky.
I'm not very technical but it looks like the web extensions used now make it hard to get full sized pictures rather than just the thumbnails that appear.

Any suggestions for add-ons or extensions for firefox or should I change browser or use a different program? I'd even pay(!) for something that worked!
Ta

Please see the attached picture of the current picture download add ons i use for the lastest quantum firefox 58. they work well.

Your interest would be Double Click Image Downloader; IHGng, a current port of Image Host Grabber that works on Quantum although it does not have the same interface; and Tab Image saver, which is excellent.

You may also want to use a seperate program download manager called jDownloader. it is free and open source, in case these extensions might not fetch the pictures as i have found on some sites. jDownloader will invariably be able to fetch 9.9 times out of ten

Bulk Image Downloader https://bulkimagedownloader.com/ isn't free, but it seems to work with every site I've tried, and reliably. I'n not connected with the company, just a happy user...

rather than guess it would help if you said what

browser & operating system you are using?

what download managers you have tried?

what you mean by very small images?

For instance if you use Down them all without the 2nd part anti-container
you will get nothing but thumbnails as i once experienced

If you use the old version of imagehostgrabber without manually updating the host file you'll think a lot of the pics are dead

If your browser is set-up to show the dead pics which most posts over 12 months will have with add-ons like monkey-fix or scripts via grease monkey you'll get the dead pics in the shape of small thumbs.

dead link removed

Vef imagehostgrabber current version v1.7.0.4c

Imagehostgrabber 2016- current version
Vef members providing ongoing scripts as hosts change them

http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/t31...t-grabber.html

Currently using Imagehostgrabber with the palemoon.org browser
Just discovered i was using an out of date version v.1.7.0.4b

best way to get everything intact is to download ASAP as the longer pics are up the more likely

1. removed due to inactivity after 12 months (imagevenue)
2. bad servers / failed backups - (imagebam)
3. dmca notice takedowns for the post or individual pics posted by others elsewhere
at the host level - 1 report = all copies of that pic posted everywhere removed
4. when using a download manager small amounts 1-5 posts are better than trying for entire thread especially with large HD pic posts...over stressed servers have a habit of aborting downloads

or with hosts like pixhost.to go to the gallery page - see icon top right
- and download the zipfile (middle of page above pics)
