Page 3 Girls with randy reputations

I wanted to say slutty but that sounded too negative.

To a Yank here in the States, Page 3 lovelies all appear to be beautiful girls-next-door who simply wanted to show off - some one-timers, some who made a career out of it, some who used it as a stepping-stone to porn.

Plenty of the women led perfectly sedate lives apart from their modeling (Linda Lusardi gives that impression) but what I'm really curious about are the girls who were well-known for their active (or over-active) sex lives, apart from any porn career. Linzi Drew appears to have had a lifestyle like this, correct?

So how about it? Which girls had sex lives that made their Page 3 work seem tame by comparison?

The term page 3 was hijacked and made sleazier by the Daily & Sunday Sport newspapers and many of the models that appeared in that had overactive sex lives-so we were led to believe but then you could never believe what you read in those papers. Sometimes you go the 'sex secrets' of the models but again you couldn't really believe a lot of what was revealed. The 'wholesome' girl-next-door type had well and truly gone by the 90s yet in the 1980s and I suspect in the late 70s(although I was too young then) it more about glamour and wearing sexy clothing, or even appearing completely naked save for a fur coat(oh yes!!)

When you say sex lives I think that also means porn because a lot of the girls found their way from ordinary page 3 appearances in the Sport to video and soft porn films like Charmaine Sinclair(as Samantha Spade-very derogatory name by today's standards)) & Lana Cox-some like Shanine Linton did simulated stuff not full on porn and even Joanne Guest yet it has been revealed that a lot of her 'porn' stuff was in fact fake. I take most of what I read about models with a pinch of salt. However there were others that really enjoyed the porn life and made a good career of it but none were from the Sun or Star sort of page 3-certainly Samantha Fox, Linda Lusardi, Maria Whittaker & Melanie Appleby made careers in television(appearing on popular quiz shows and cameo appearances in comedies/dramas) and in some cases films like Maria in 'Whoops Apocolypse' & 'Bullshot' Linda went into long-running police drama 'The Bill' whilst Samantha used her chirpy cockney style to front shows and present then stunned all of us becoming a pop star. Melanie Appleby joined with her sister Kim to become duet Mel & Kim and have top ten hits. :)

Missed out Louise Hodges, she started off as a page 3 model and then progressed to porn(hard core) appearing with Rocco Stiffredo or whatever his name is :D and seemed to enjoy it. She was here last year but has since left and has now retired.

Page 3 had its best days - as far I am concerned at least - in the 1980s, and most of the girls were genuine girls next door and never went beyond that. As a result, we have the "beaver hunt" going on where VEFers are continually looking for a shot of a particular model's muff. One such model was my favourite from that time, Dee Ivens - who would never beyond topless shots even in her top-shelf magazine shoots.

Then there were those who could be found in the top-shelf publications showing a little bit more, such as Michelle Tooley (another one of my faves) and Jo Guest, who became well known as the regular girl for Men's World and, as Greenman points out, for a number of "harder" but ultimately simulated b/g shoots in harder mags like Whitehouse. Others that went this route were Shanine Linton and Samantha Jessop to name but two.

Then we had the Sport girls, who were billed - again, as Greenman points out - as Page Three models but were really porn models.

Agree with most of what already stated; though the list of late 90's models who did porn is a very long one; helped in no small part by the likes of Steve 'Ben Dover' Perry, John 'Buttman' Stagliano, Sarah Young, and several other large European companies; those were all far more 'top shelfers' than actual P3 girls, even if a few of them had posed a few times here and there between them.... Lindsey Dawn could also be excluded from the list, as she began life in the Sport, not on the true P3 in either The Sun or the Star.

Incidentally, it's only in places like here that some of us have found that those P3 girls also showed their lower full frontal goodness too; as they more often only posed for shoots that would be sold abroad; but now the internet makes that term obsolete, we see it all..... (Thank you Mr 'Web')

I was actually going to mention LDM - as far as I know she was the probably the most (in)famous "Page Three" girl never to make the original Page Three in the Sun. She'd of course follow this up in some of the then dodgier mags, including Whitehouse where she posed for pics that are now off limits on here on account of her age at the time.

It was a treat when one found a Page Three babe's elusive "front bottom goodness" - and even better when one got to see it in explicit detail. I remember fapping like crazy when I got my first glimpse of Jo Guest in her famous arched back pose, or Kirsten Imrie showing off her lovely rug.

Well. looking at the difference between 'randy reputation' being in top shelf mags (more did than didn't) and being 'goers' in the 'real world'... It was said that Sian Adey Jones was known for it; and wasn't Jenny Blyth supposed to be the woman who wrecked - according to him - who wrecked an international footballer's career with the 'sex, drugs & rock and roll' lifestyle? Of course, my all time favourite, Kirsten Imrie, has talked about 'dependency issues' and said in the papers that she had fucked several other P 3 girls...

Yep, same feeling.. late 80s, pre-internet, getting a German mag off a newsstand at Munich airport and seeing Gail McKenna all furry and no obstructions. Then that moment of joy on finding the world wide interweb and seeing that two earlier favourites, Corinne Russell and Denise Perry had also spread for 'overseas' magazines.

Infamous yes not sure if she wrecked his career, but Jenny Blyth was with West Ham's Frank McAvennie(or McAvenue as I called him) but she was featured and photographed a lot in the papers. Linsey was cited as the other woman in the infamous Dean Holdsworth/sex-in-car scandal and ex Eastender Dean Gaffney, and because of that she was branded a porn star.

Kirsten is reputed to have hit rock bottom sleeping on a park bench, and been involved with other girls, even Lisa Bangert & Charmaine Sinclair were said to be in some kind of sex scandal with Lisa a Madam-type controlling others including a Diana-lookalike Christina Hance. Sian had an affair with the 'Six Million Dollar Man', Lee Majors and Ryan O'Neal and wasn't known as the 'Welsh Wildcat' for nothing(according to Yvonne Paul her agent) Charmaine again was embroiled in a sex thing allegedly with Robert De Niro (Are you looking at me?) and of course drugs claimed the life of tragic Debbie Linden. It's not just 80s girls though, I have read that Jilly Johnson & Nina Carter loved the Jet Set life but also got into drugs and sex, although this wasn't reported.

I agree that the first time you saw a popular page 3 girl completely naked was quite something for us callow youths and let's face it we weren't that bothered about their out of modelling sex lives. I for one was bored with the Sun always claiming a world exclusive about a model who had taken drugs or been in a sex scandal-and it struck me that this was the paper that built them up, so why knock them down so hard?
Is fapping a real word? :D

That one paper and it's one time sunday sister, have spent most of their lives doing that to all and sundry..... they have always felt that if they helped build them up, then they have the biggest right to then slap them back down.... glamour models are/were no more exempt from that as any other profession...

.... just look at the stick beckham has had over giving his wages to charity....?

Staffsyeoman February 13th, 2013 09:33 PM

Fair point. The Sun hung Kirsten Imrie out to dry when UK P*house used a stock shot of her in a santa suit & said shock horror she poses for porn mags. (She wasn't inside) Cue piece along lines of 'I was young & needed the money... Tricked by an evil photographer..Would never upset a family newspaper like the super soaraway... But that was the end of her on P 3. But as we know, Linda Lusardi made the same claim about her Mayfair shoot (despite there being a dozen different sets of her legs spread) . So NI are a contrary lot. Like we didn't know...
