System Keeps Logging Me Out
 

Frustrating thing happening for a while now. I sign into VEF but every few hours the system apparently logs me out and I have to sign in again. It also happens at PS but not as frequently. Not sure if it's related to Firefox security or the forum. I don't use IE for this forum so can't speak to whether or not it happens there.

Any ideas?

You will be logged out after a certain amount of inactivity (30 minutes on this forum, I think) or earlier if there is a forum glitch which seems to happen rather often.

As explained in the FAQ, you can check the 'Remember Me?' box when you log in, so that you will automatically re-login after such automatic logouts. Only do this if you have full control over your computer so that nobody can steal your cookies, otherwise they obtain your VEF userid and a hash of your password.

Thanks. I always tick the "remember me" box. It does no good.

Try deleting all your cookies and getting new ones and see if that fixes the issue.

Seems more prevalent on laptops than desktops

Since i stopped using cc cleaner - never been logged out - maybe coincidence or not
