VEF Site Problems
 

Is anyone else feeling the load times on VEF very, very sluggish? This is a problem I've noticed the past weeks or so. I do have fast internet, no firewalls or anything like that, and all other websites are running smoothly. I'm not sure what it is or if I'm alone, or if it's something regional or what. It'd be interesting to see if anyone else is experiencing this. This has never happened with me and VEF before by the way. It's always been smooth sailing until now. The load times are a bit long and sometimes the connection just fails and doesn't load at all, whenever I want to maneuver anywhere new on the site. Wait time could be 30-40 seconds (where it usually would be a literal second to load) or it won't load a page at all. Sometimes it does function normal and it does load instantly. But lately it's been stalling. Not sure what's going on. If it's on VEF's end or mine.

No issue with slow speed here mate.

It's still the same. I'm racking my brain trying to figure out what's going on. Like I said it started about two weeks ago. The site worked real well for me before that. But seeing as how no one else responded to this and you say it's all good on your side, BCFC_1982, whatever the problem is, it seems to be on my end only. I tried clearing out the cache just to see if it would do anything, but it seems to pretty much be the same. Hopefully whatever it is gets straightened out some way some how on its own, cause I have no clue at this point. Like I said though, all other sites are functioning like normal, it's just VEF unfortunately. The one thing I actually haven't tried it using a tablet I have. I hate using that for things like VEF, but I'll check on it later and see if it's slow on that as well.

Usual practice then - Virus/Malware scan etc - make sure you have no issues there?

If I click on the Browse button, I can load a pic and see the image, but then it just freezes and wont load to the post......I'm just waiting for it all to sort its self out.....Tried different Browsers ( Im on Firefox, but tried Google Chrome ) still no go.......Ah well, no rush. I am loathed to use Imagebam or others, as I dont have time to load stuff to another site then add it here. It all used to be so simple. At least we can see pics on P&H again.

There are issues with the P&H plugin. It is not browser dependent. Please upload to another VEF imagehost in the meantime, like imagebam etc.

It is simple, and only extra step is copying and pasting the BBCODE for the images. Takes....ooo, 4 seconds? :D
