Why would somebody buy vhs from ebay instead of free download from VEF?

most common answer is it`s not available yet or that link is dead.

Several hundred of my posts are ebay acquisitions. They were not available anywhere else. And someone has to do the ripping/encoding or there wouldn't be any new/rare posts.

True... I'm in the process of acquiring a few VHS tapes to transfer that are not available on DVD. There are TONS of movies that never made it to commercial DVD and never will.
