Test Forum: start a new thread for your first posting steps, and use this one for any questions about them

To test starting a New Thread use the http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/ima.../newthread.gif button on the forum: http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/f55-test-forum.html

Make sure however that when you start a thread on the forum that you post to the correct section and also keep in mind not to start double threads on models and movies, always contribute to the existing threads.

Info on posting images:

Testing Image Venue uploading and reference

This is a test using any pictures.

Actually very simple. But the instructions look like a major undertaking.

i know the tutorial looks complex, but it's set up in a way that even internet newcomers / computer-noobs can learn how to do it. each step is explained and this leads to a huge tutorial rather than the complexity of the task itself.

most questions are related to one of those 3 steps, so the most don't have to read the entire tutorial anyways. i guess 90% are just unsure with setp 3.

I was rejected for a post in another forum recently (new to posting whole movies). I wanted to post the following movie
http://thumbnails20.imagebam.com/132...e132555043.jpg
http://thumbnails20.imagebam.com/132...0132554976.jpg
with the following stats:
Young.Doctors.In.Love.avi
file Size 703MB
Play Time 01.20.28
Resolution 576x432
File type avi

and hosted on DepositFile.

there was an existing post of the same film and they wouldn't let me post it (even though this is a mirror) -perhaps I should also have checked if higher quality

Just want to check if I can post it here because there is already a thread here with the movieand my version seems to have a larger resolution than the one on the thread.

So: am I breaking any rules if I post this as a reply on the existing thread?

Cheers,

Smallwoodenruler

PS - this was a useful opportunity to practice the posting procedure here too - thanks.

the resolution of your version is just slightly better than the one that's allready posted, so there is no reason to repost it.

and posting mirrors is only allowed for the original poster in the same post.

beside - next time please don't use this subforum if you have actual questions, better start a thread here. the test-forum is set up for members who want to learn posting, before they put their post to the appropriate forum / thread.

Hi Hos,
I have made some first posts using Imagevenue basic uploader which worked well with 6 images at a time, but 7 images stretched the post width too much. I,d like to post more images at a time, stacking them vertically in groups of 5 or 6 so as not to distort the post width. I would be very greatful if you could point me in the right direction on this.

Thanks

DrBone

hi DrBone, you can try my solution to get a better layout from the imagevenue-code:
http://www.vintage-erotica-forum.com...&postcount=101
this version adds a space between each image and removes all linebreaks so you can use it in any forum which supports bbcode. with that javascript you gain bbcode which places as many images as possible into the same row without destroying the forum layout (no matter which browser). you just need to activate javascript if you want to use it.

and why don't you use the flash-uploader? it's much more comfortable. check the tutorial here:

question: Sometimes I see dead links, What causes this and should I do something while uploading to prevent this?

hos December 5th, 2011 11:03 AM

afaik you can't prevent this. the big file hosters imagebam and imagevenue store the images of an upload session over multiple servers, and if one server is down or too busy, it can happen that not all images were uploaded properly. there are ways to deal with it, but personally, i don't care. if people miss something, they hopefully know what a PM is.
