Testing Image Venue uploading and reference

This is a test using any pictures.

Actually very simple. But the instructions look like a major undertaking.

i know the tutorial looks complex, but it's set up in a way that even internet newcomers / computer-noobs can learn how to do it. each step is explained and this leads to a huge tutorial rather than the complexity of the task itself.

most questions are related to one of those 3 steps, so the most don't have to read the entire tutorial anyways. i guess 90% are just unsure with setp 3.

I was rejected for a post in another forum recently (new to posting whole movies). I wanted to post the following movie
http://thumbnails20.imagebam.com/132...e132555043.jpg
http://thumbnails20.imagebam.com/132...0132554976.jpg
with the following stats:
Young.Doctors.In.Love.avi
file Size 703MB
Play Time 01.20.28
Resolution 576x432
File type avi

and hosted on DepositFile.

there was an existing post of the same film and they wouldn't let me post it (even though this is a mirror) -perhaps I should also have checked if higher quality

Just want to check if I can post it here because there is already a thread here with the movieand my version seems to have a larger resolution than the one on the thread.

So: am I breaking any rules if I post this as a reply on the existing thread?

Cheers,

Smallwoodenruler

PS - this was a useful opportunity to practice the posting procedure here too - thanks.

hos May 17th, 2011 12:10 AM

the resolution of your version is just slightly better than the one that's allready posted, so there is no reason to repost it.

and posting mirrors is only allowed for the original poster in the same post.

beside - next time please don't use this subforum if you have actual questions, better start a thread here. the test-forum is set up for members who want to learn posting, before they put their post to the appropriate forum / thread.

Hi Hos,
I have made some first posts using Imagevenue basic uploader which worked well with 6 images at a time, but 7 images stretched the post width too much. I,d like to post more images at a time, stacking them vertically in groups of 5 or 6 so as not to distort the post width. I would be very greatful if you could point me in the right direction on this.

Thanks

DrBone

hos September 8th, 2011 05:28 AM

hi DrBone, you can try my solution to get a better layout from the imagevenue-code:
http://www.vintage-erotica-forum.com...&postcount=101
this version adds a space between each image and removes all linebreaks so you can use it in any forum which supports bbcode. with that javascript you gain bbcode which places as many images as possible into the same row without destroying the forum layout (no matter which browser). you just need to activate javascript if you want to use it.

and why don't you use the flash-uploader? it's much more comfortable. check the tutorial here:
http://www.vintage-erotica-forum.com...evenuecom.html

question: Sometimes I see dead links, What causes this and should I do something while uploading to prevent this?

hos December 5th, 2011 11:03 AM

afaik you can't prevent this. the big file hosters imagebam and imagevenue store the images of an upload session over multiple servers, and if one server is down or too busy, it can happen that not all images were uploaded properly. there are ways to deal with it, but personally, i don't care. if people miss something, they hopefully know what a PM is.

how do I get extra bold letters in the title? Is this the boldest they can get?

rotobott June 5th, 2012 04:27 PM

You can use BB code in the post

But it doesn't seem to work in the title

I´m trying to post five pictures in a row adding a text (year) underneath each picture but I cannot get the pictures and the text to match. I want it to look something like this:

The easiest way may be upload the pictures individually.

You could try editing in text between the script of multiple pictures (I've never tried), but it could be hella confusing and probably wouldn't work.

NIN July 22nd, 2012 01:48 PM

I suggest you need to use the TABLE code, but i'm not experienced with it to offer advice, sorry cesium :o
Maybe some guide in the help forum would help you with the TABLE coding?

NIN July 22nd, 2012 02:02 PM

best other way is a bit trial & error, but i tend to use sequences of ....... made almost invisible by selecting the COLOR="LemonChiffon" & CENTER

i.e.

1981 .................. 1982 .................... 1983 ................... 1984

I tried that but the pictures then ended up on top of each other. :o

aha... interesting trick, I never thought of that. :)

Only way I can think of is to use an image editor, I had a quick go

winebeavis July 30th, 2012 02:34 PM

Not able to post a new test thread. I get this message:

winebeavis, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
But I seem to be able to post new threads elsewhere on a previous occasion. Am I doing something wrong?

Well, a bit late but anyway... There is no option to edit the Post Title. You can only tag the content of your post.

Why aren't images appearing in preview of my post

OK I've worked out how to add hyperlinks to my thread but when I use the 'Insert Image' option (the little yellow square with the pyramids in it) nothing actually appears in the preview of my post except the little 'image' graphic indicating there SHOULD be a jpg or png thumbnail link. How come the thumbnail won't appear in the preview? Am I doing something wrong???

Here is an example:

This is the 'image' you're trying to insert. Does that answer your question?
Code:

http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/showthread.php?t=2731&highlight=Jo+Guest"]http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/showthread.php?t=2731&highlight=Jo+Guest
Did you want to do something like this?

http://img135.imagevenue.com/loc24/th_85135_u01.JPG

I inserted an thumbnail, taken from the thread in your link (use the http://ist2-1.filesor.com/pimpandhos...tor%20Mode.jpg button in the top right corner of the editor to see the code).
Then I selected it and used the http://ist2-1.filesor.com/pimpandhos...set%20Link.jpg button to insert your URL.

Which host should be used when one wants to upload ordinary .txt files? I would like to start a thread for a certain model and add some Q&A:s in the initial post, is textuploader.com suitable for ths?

http://txtup.net/rOWuy

hos February 23rd, 2013 03:57 AM

you can use any host which isn't banned, just regard the tos of the host you want to use - if your content doesn't disturb their terms of service, go for it.

but why uploading text instead of simply pasting it to one or more posts?

andy June 22nd, 2013 08:00 AM

Hi is there a posting limit before you can create a new model id request thread

thanks

is it easy to switch on HTML code? as the posting rules box highlights this as off, also does on other web sites. any help would be cool ta.

Motorboater August 2nd, 2014 01:28 PM

I have two ideas for thread. One where you express thoughts of the women on here (or could be on here), because discussion on the women on here, on their threads, gets deleted. The other is about women we come across/perv in our everyday lives (not stalking or encouraging to, just appreciation).

I'm just not sure which board are most appropriate to initiate these threads. Any suggestions?

test for gif

how to properly re-size and attached thumbnails for bigger gifs that are already posted on web host pages and i wish to post them on sex gif of the day?

this method (1. found web page that has just jpg version, than 2. rewriting the code for every gif) that i used for pic above it's very troublesome... any better ideas?

Just download the image and reupload it to an allowed imagehost. I used the PimpAndHost uploader just below the Quick Reply box, and this created a jpeg automatically, already at the right size. You shouldn't be hotlinking to an image on tumblr anyway.

Not that I'm trying to discourage you from testing out your posts here at all, and simply as a suggestion to make your life simpler - are you aware that if you press the 'Go Advanced' button below the editing area, you enter the Advanced Editor. When you're satisfied with your post you can press the 'Preview Post' button there and it will show you what it's going to look like. Nothing will actually be posted until you press 'Submit Reply'.

How I can start e new thread in classic movie clips reguest forum?

masdon November 23rd, 2015 09:41 PM

After about 3 years of not posting, I cannot remember how to, so back to noobie testing to see if I remember how to do it right.
http://thumbnails114.imagebam.com/44...7449031465.jpg http://thumbnails114.imagebam.com/44...3449031468.jpg

One more go.
http://thumbnails113.imagebam.com/44...7449033123.jpg http://thumbnails113.imagebam.com/44...3449033126.jpg
This has come back to me now quite easy.
OK line 1 100x100
Line 2 150x150
Line 3 180x180.
Don't know if line 3 180x180 is allowed, but can line 1 or 2 be used ?
Thanks.
OK found it in the rules 180x180 maximum

rotobott November 23rd, 2015 10:21 PM

180x180 is the maximum allowed for thumbnails and probably the best, but smaller can be used should you feel the need.

I tried to post (quick reply) about 25 pictures (mostly 2-3 MB) in the Shanna Evans thread and about half of them uploaded to PimpandHost and the others resulted in "Error:200, Message: HTTP Error, so I deleted the post. Here were the first 9 pics - only pics 2, 6 and 9 successfully uploaded and the others (pics 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) resulted in the Error Message. This time only 1 picture uploaded.http://ist3-1.filesor.com/pimpandhos.../3sl2g/2_0.jpg

-Lucifer- January 20th, 2016 08:40 PM

There were some issues with the server today.
I suggest to try it again.
You also can try another host.

I've seen this pic around in a number of sites.

Can anyone tell me if this is actually Raquel Welsh, or is it a fake/photoshopped??:confused: Thanks! ;)
