Karen was born 1931 in Honolulu, Hawaii and died of cancer at the age of 56 in 1988.
Among her many credits she is probably best noted for her role as Virginia in the 1955 film "Marty" starring Ernest Borgnine, and for her role as Eve McHuron in the Star Trek episode "Mudd's Women".
