Cyd Hayman Manhunt ITV 1970
 

Cyd Hayman being forced to strip for interrogation in "Manhunt" a WW2 drama in about 1970, is my first memory of nudity on TV. I was deeply shocked (and gratified), it made a deep impression on me.

Does anyone else remember this?

I understand it is now on DVD. Does anyone know if there are any clips available?

Apologies if this is the wrong board. I've recently discovered this forum and find it tickles more of my fancies than anywhere else on the internet - probably to do do with my age!

It had a large impression on me two. I was 8 or 9 and I can still remember the German guard saying that she had to take it all off.

I think you only saw her back and maybe her bottom, but to me it was fantastic.

I've been searching for years for a clip with no success. Maybe one day eh?

yep I remember this great scene too. you can buy the DVD on a certain auction site no problem- just too expensive for me I'm afraid..

Strange to think I can almost pinpoint the date and time I saw my first TV nudity...the power of the interweb thingy.

Funny thing memory. I don't remember her wearing a balaclava. I remember Robert Hardy sitting down not walking and being active. I remember him using the phrase "and the final garment" rather than "last garment please".

But then I only saw it once in monochrome but have "remembered" it hundreds of times over the last 38 years years, with my own active fantasy contributing.

I remember him sitting down. I also remember Cyd was on the right of the screen and the camera was much closer to her. You could not see here head, just her back.

Maybe it is my memory playing tricks.
