I had discovered Jill Peters in a Playboy compendium.
When I saw this mag in a used book store I had to peruse it.
I can not resist a woman's white pantied or bare bottom on a bicycle seat.

When I saw her on the beach in her pink plastic slip-ons,
I recognized her as the sassy nymph that I loved in Playboy.
Awesome legs and ass, luscious lips and beautiful blonde hair.
I was sold on the mag and became a Mayfair devotee because of that.

Variations on this set turn up in Hustler, Tilt, Star Ladies and Party mags.

I was always a Club man, but one thing Mayfair did well - especially in the 1980s - were the photoshoots of perfectly-tanned, sunkissed blondes in fantastic beachside settings. I remember getting hold of a copy of Mayfair's Girls of Summer which had this photoset in.

I actually remember this mag not for the cover - long may I rest my head in shame - but the article on Ernst Udet.

Really? I was of the opinion that most of the Mayfair shoots during this era were by European lensmen for software mags on this side of the pond. Now I'm really interested... I'd love to see some scans from the Hustler version, with the possibility of some pink on show. :p

I got the impression a lot of vintage Mayfair stuff was from German or Swedish nudism mags but with the accompanying bloke with a handlebar moustache and his tackle out edited from the photos so you just got the girl .
The photoshoots were very tame .

One things for sure mayfair models back then weren't called Miriam and worked in a library before being jetted off to ibiza to model like the Mayfair text would have you believe which I kind of guessed at the time .

Interesting that more explicit photos designed for the American market are appearing of some cover girls

Absolutely beautiful girl on the cover of Mayfair Dec 71 in such a wonderful naked but not seeing anything pose .
This mag fetches a fair few quid when it turns up on eBay .
I suppose a lot of guys like me have fell in love with her .

A shame then that she doesn't appear inside .
I'm guessing she is American and bought from a photo agency at the time .

Like this cover of superbike magazine from Aug 80 featuring Helle Kjaer .
Easily bought with your pocket money without reaching too high and a knockout knob tug to follow when you got it home .

Yep, although it was Custom Car rather than Superbike that fuelled some of my early teenage wrist exercise....;) Don't think I had this particular issue, but I had quite a stash when I was about 14- Looking back, I'm amazed that our local newsagent used to quite happily sell mags with cover pics featuring topless women to a 14-year-old. IIRC, he didn't even stock any top shelf mags!:D

I had to chuckle gentle at Chris and Historian's stories, and mine was somewhat similar. I was into photography when I was younger - and still am, though things are a hell of a lot easier these days - and I'd often be able to buy a copy of a photography magazine. I can't remember the title (there were a good few of them, but it might have been Amateur Photographer or something similar) but one section was about photographing nudes.

I knew I was going to be in for a few bikini models and perhaps some boobies, but I almost had a coronary when I saw some actual bush.
