Top 40 Saddest Songs Ever Made

So, 2015 is upon us 2014 is in the history books and everyone is posting their top 40's or top 100's. Worst and best movies, songs and so forth. On here we have the songs that hit you below the belt but that doesn't mean they are sad just that they were used against you you. In the top 40 saddest songs of all time I saw a ton of crap from the past two years which included songs from Salena Gomez, Chris Brown and or all People Kanya West. So I thought I would put it to our very intelligent very intellectual people who look at tits all day. What would you say are the saddest songs every performed. Feel free to make a top 40 or just one. I will ask anyone who posts a Justin Beiber or Kanye song be banned from VEF.

For me the saddest song ever written is called Love Me by Colin Raye.

NB, this song, written by Curly Putnam, relies on a twist from the celebrated Ambrose Bierce short story, "The incident at Owl Creek Bridge"

Three songs....

The voices and the music in these three make the lyrics that much more powerful...
