Firefox 61 and PIXhost - very slow

Hi folks,

For the last few weeks, when I try to use the above image hoster, once I click the upload button, the Firefox becomes really slow and it takes about 30-40 seconds before my images start uploading. It can take even more if there are more images. During this strange "waiting" period, 1 core of my "super powerful" Celerone :D is fully loaded and other tabs are not loading / responding. The only addons in use are Translate and ADblock.

Chrome works just fine and uploads images right away. Anyone with the same problem?

That tells me that your ISP is probably currently experiencing routing issues caused by a backbone outage. It's not your browser, computer etc. that's causing the problem.

This happened about a month ago when some members had trouble accessing VEF. Depending on where the problem lies, it may take some time to fix so try to be as patient as you can.

Not that i use firefox any longer - went over to www.palemoon.org

Thanks Buttsie.

OK, I found out what is causing it - AdBlock. In my case it's the latest version 3.15.0. Once I disabled it, PIXhost and Firefox both worked as usual. I will try to report it to developers then.

I strongly recommend uBlock Origin instead. In my opinion uBlock is currently the best blocker.

Thanks, I will give it a try. BTW, adding the PIXhost to the ADblock whitelist also works.

OK, I'm using uBlock now and I'm loving it. Much faster VEF experience, especially the picture threads. I was initially misled by relatively good performance of the Chrome+AdBlock combo, and thought that Firefox could not process massive image posts that quckly. I'm happy that I was wrong. Thanks again.

If none work then you head to specific browsers like Opera , Tor , proxys or vpns that use a different IP address make sure its not your ISP
