Looking at the photos downloaded on this site from the 1970s up to the mid 1980s, the most obvious difference between the vintage erotica and modern porn is that the ldies of time past never took a razor to their pubes - this apart from the bouffant hair-dos sported by the women of that era.

That said I am surprised that in the 1970s there was very little preference for trimmed pubes, vast untamed expanses of undergrowth seemed to be de riguer - was this a male fetish of the time or simply the fact that most women never shaved down-below in that dark-age, as it was not a recognized part of the bath-room, beauty treatment?

Personally, I have a big problem with shaved pussies. This may be considered a little extreme but, in my view, I think they are an abomination. This is perhaps due in part to age and social conditioning, and in part because of the way I’m personally wired.

You’re right to observe the prevalence of the un-ashamed hairy pussy of yesteryear and today’s trend towards trimmed pussies (trimmed at best, if it has to be interfered with at all) or shaved pussies (shaved at worst, etc.). I’ve observed this truly horrific trend from its origins in the porn industry that arrived, in my experience, around 10-12 years ago. It is a sad and regrettable downside of the internet which, as the pre-eminent distribution network for porn, has perpetrated this wholly lamentable condition on humanity. Time was when shaved pussies were regarded as a fetish, now they have become accepted as a social norm (shudder).

Unfortunately, young men looking at a pussy for the first time, probably via porn, will conclude that this condition is ‘natural’ and simply how they should look. Worse, that hairy pussies are unclean and passé, rather like beards on men are regarded nowadays. Women feel under peer pressure to conform. Maybe they even prefer it. I’d rather look at photos of, say, a Harley Davidson XR75 (next project) for example, or an Aston Martin, or just about anything else.
