What is the max. year on getting away from copyright?

Hi
Whats the maximum date/year from getting away copyright notices?
Is it 2010 or 2000 or 1996?

What makes adult clips and movies are copyright free?
Id like to post some movies, magz and vidz on 2000s and late 90s. But Im not sure if they are copyright protected.

Note : Sorry about my grammar. If you dont understand please inform me via pm.

Its different from country to country but U can be sure that a movie from 1996 is not free from copyright.
The Berne Convention:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berne_Convention
says 50 years but some countries have higher numbers (e. g. Germany 70 years)

You can get DMCA notices for anything. Year has nothing to do with it.

Quite true. Bang Studios has bought the rights to a lot stuff from the 90's era for re-release, and has been going after anyone who posts them. :(

Not to forget the fake dmcas used by unscrupulous uploaders to take down the competition

Something to do while waiting for uploads to finish

It is difficult (maybe impossible) to state.
Many French, German, Italian, Greek, and into the 1990s- Brasilian and Japanese movies were never copyrighted in the U.S.A., and therefore shouldn't be subjected to fake DMCA takedown orders if hosted on U.S.A. servers.
If the movie ever played in your country, it may be copyrighted.
But there are instances, mostly from the 1970s in the U.S.A., where the copyright application was incorrectly filed and therefore ruled invalid. This affects not merely explicit erotica, but any number of regular Hollywood [M.P.A.A. rated] movies released to theaters and drive-ins.

So, you mean if somebody live in (for instance) Australia and posted German movies and then this would be no copyright by the US?

World-Wide Copyright?

The snag for you in Australia is learning whether the movie you want to upload is copyrighted in the country where the upload host is.
As I scribed, many movies were not copyrighted, or had their copyright process ruled invalid in the U.S.A.
But, there were a number of Euro features, many French, which got theatrical playdates in the U.S.A. in 1984-86, when porn theaters were really hit by the videocassette boom and suddenly did not have any new U.S.A.-made shot on film movies to present. (One I think was "Peek Freak", which dated from 1979.)

you can add to that companies who claim to represent rights holders but really have nothing to do with them and are just touting for business.

As the ex-filehost worker said about dmca take downs

How to prevent file deletion by an ex-filehost worker
(works for everything but dmca takedowns - real and fake)

2012
http://vintage-erotica-forum.com/sho...4&postcount=13

Its all automated - we receive the dmca notice - we remove the file - no checking

We dont look to see whats actually in the file

How could they given there are most likely files numbering in the tens of millions
and a small number of workers who would be heavily out numbered by the notices.

Who has the legal right of way is irrelevant
